The face was understandable distracting though. Especially with the way you lit it. There's just so much to look at, I love the sweeping sketchy lines! They give the picture a certain movement and texture it wouldn't have if you cleaned them up. Its like I can hear the feathers rustling. -And the relaxed smile is understated in a good way. It makes the character feel real.
You requested critiques so the only thing I can think of is the lack of background? But that's a copout on my part, I know. Its a really nice drawing, I can't think of anything constructive to say. I don't even want to see more of the figure, I like the closeness of the portrait. Great job!
